“God, do you want to commune with me in Italy!?!?”
The words that came out of my mouth after misspelling a google search that then popped up with Italy. It was when God was imprinting that He wanted to commune with me in 2023 at the start of the New Year. This tiny “mistake” I made led to a string of little God nudges to see what Italy might hold for me from God. So here I am, trying to be obedient.
My next right thing is heading to Italy with Adventures in Missions, this time for their study abroad program they are pioneering this summer. I never thought I’d be in my 30’s going back to taking college classes and much less in Italy… but here we are! I also am taking a student role on this trip. I am very eager to be poured into by our amazing leaders and all-star line up of mentors. I’m so excited to see what God will do on this small journey. I am eager to learn and experience the rich history in Italy and can’t wait to join the Holy Spirit in what is already moving there with the local church!
This trip is going to be packed with a leadership program, an online classroom platform (I’ll personally be taking Spanish) and ministry with local believers. This is a unique experience because it is a pioneer trip. That means we don’t know a lot and it’s a learn as you go situation. A pick your own adventure story we are writing, if you will! This is both scary and exhilarating for me. But I’m ready to learn new things and grow in big ways.
